When our correspondent contacted one of the party\u2019s stakeholders after the primaries on the outcome of it, and how prepared is the party to challenge the ruling All Progressives congress at the polls.<\/p>\n
The party stalwart who craved anonymous said \u201cWe have two chairmanship aspirants for the Primaries in Alimosho local government which are Hon.Saheed lawal (Omo west) and Hon. Aduragbemi Oyebade, for free, I can tell you majority of the party members were rooting for \u2018Omo west\u2019 because we believed he is the only person that can give the ruling APC a run for their money. It surprised us seeing Aduragbemi\u2019s name as the candidate of the party on LASIEC list, how that came to being still baffles everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFor us not to keep repeating the failure of the past, the party leadership and all those involved in the shenanigan should rescind their decision and give \u2018Omo west\u201d the party\u2019s ticket. He has all it takes to challenge the APC, he is popular, he understands the game. The window for substitution is still very much open, the mistake can still be corrected.\u201d<\/p>\n
When asked if \u2018Omo west is given the ticket as the party\u2019s candidate, can he actually defeat the All progressives\u2019 congress in the election? He said \u201cthis time, we will defeat them, we have mastered the game and the people are already tired of the ruling All progressives\u2019 congress. Our secret to winning would not be revealed to you press people but with \u2018Omo west\u2019 we are winning this time\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIs there even anything to hide ? How the trio of Messrs Ogbomola Bolaji, Christopher Osoba and Adebanjo Ademola (Oba) did it is still what is giving many sleepless night because he is never our party member, Omo west has been with us through thick and thin but let us see how event will unfolds in few days to come ,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
