The Lagos State Arewa Council of Chiefs have urged the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to warn the State Commissioner, Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Arc Ahmed Kabir, against what may likely creates disunity  among the Hausawa Communities in Lagos.<\/p>\n

Hausawa in Lagos, according to the statement made available to pressmen by the Secretary General Lagos State Arewa Council of Chiefs, Sulaiman Bala Abdullahi, are known for peace but this illegal installation of Alhaji Ali Kabir Garba as Sarkin Hausa to pioneer the affairs of Hausa Communities in the state would lead to problems if the state government fails  to intervene.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He said: “Ahmed Kabir, who claimed to act on behalf  his Excellency, the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide  Sanwo-Olu illegally installated Alhaji Kabir Garba as Sarki Arewa Community which may likely cause crisis within the community as it doesn’t go well with the majority of  Hausas residing in the state.<\/p>\n

“The Lagos State Arewa Council of Chiefs have unanimously disregard and condemned the illegal installation. Alhaji Kabir Garba, was imposed by  Arc Ahmed Kabir, described the act as illegal and condmenabale as the Arewa Community has an existing Sarkin Hausawa of Lagos in the person of HRH Alhaji Aminu Idris Yaro. <\/p>\n

“Historically the father of Ali Kabir, Alhaji Kabiru Garba was installed as Sarkin Hausawa of Ebute Meta by Late HRH Alhaji  Yaro Dogara (the then Sarkin Hausawa of Lagos) in 1988 and his elder brother late Sani Kabir who died recently was installed by Oloto of Oto as Sarkin Hausawa of Ebute Meta. <\/p>\n

“HRH Oba Adesanya in 2008 installed Sani Kabir as Sarkin Hausawa of Ebute Meta, hence the Commissioner of waterfront has no any jurisdiction to install someone as Sarkin Hausawa of Lagos while the Hausa Community have already existing Sarkin Hausawa of Lagos in person of Alhaji Aminu Idris Yaro. <\/p>\n

“The Hausa Community in Lagos  are peace loving people, but this installation will escalate crisis within Community in Lagos and its environ. <\/p>\n
