The Lagos State judicial panel on restitution for victims of SARS related abuses and other matters sitting in Lagos today Saturday 14th August 2021 struck a petition due to the application for withdrawal by the petitioner.<\/p>\n

In the case of Ms Francisca Chizoba Agu vs the Nigeria Army, the petitioner counsel informed the panel that it was withdrawing the petition in order not to waste the time of the panel. The application was not opposed by the other counsels present.<\/p>\n

Ruling on the application, the panel chairman Justice Doris Okuwobi (Rtd.) stated that the petition was coming up for the fourth time today and in view of the petitioner application for withdrawal of the petition which was not opposed, the panel then accordingly struck out the petition.<\/p>\n

The panel also conducted hearings into five other petitions on the causelist for the day of which they were all adjourned to different dates for further hearing.<\/p>\n
