{"id":2438,"date":"2021-09-22T18:59:01","date_gmt":"2021-09-22T17:59:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alimoshotv.com\/?p=2438"},"modified":"2021-09-22T18:59:01","modified_gmt":"2021-09-22T17:59:01","slug":"ndlea-nabs-trafficker-with-n2-3billion-cocaine-at-abuja-airport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alimoshotv.com\/index.php\/2021\/09\/22\/ndlea-nabs-trafficker-with-n2-3billion-cocaine-at-abuja-airport\/","title":{"rendered":"NDLEA nabs trafficker with N2.3billion cocaine at Abuja airport"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/alimoshotv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Cocaine.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2439\" src=\"https:\/\/alimoshotv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Cocaine-225x300.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/alimoshotv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Cocaine-225x300.webp 225w, https:\/\/alimoshotv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Cocaine-750x1001.webp 750w, https:\/\/alimoshotv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Cocaine.webp 767w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>By: Kingsley Omonobi, Abuja<\/p>\n<p>A Nigerian, Okey Eze, who claims to be a tiler by profession has been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja with 350 wraps of cocaine worth over a N2.3billion in street value.<\/p>\n<p>A statement by Femi Babafemi, Director, Media and Advocacy said \u201cThe 38-year-old Eze, from Orji River, in Oji-River Local Government area of Enugu State was arrested on Wednesday 22nd September 2021 during an inward clearance of passengers on Ethiopian airline flight number 911 enroute Bamako-Addis Ababa- Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe illicit drug weighing 7.70kilograms was concealed in eight packs tucked in different parts of his luggage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn his confession, Eze, a resident of Bamako, Mali, said he travelled to Mali through Seme border in Badagry, Lagos state since 2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe further claimed that he came into Nigeria with the drug because he needed to raise money to take care of his late elder brothers\u2019 four children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe suspect also claimed he asked his friend who is resident in Brazil to assist him with some money but declined and instead told him to pick up a bag with the drugs from a friend of his in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for a fee of N500, 000 on successful delivery to someone whose contact would be sent to him on arrival in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe also said the bag containing the drugs was given to him on Wednesday morning at Addis Ababa airport.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman\/ Chief Executive of the NDLEA, Brig. Gen.
