Finally, the Ipaja Kingdom has its king after a long –  <\/span>\u201choliday \u2018  <\/span>–  <\/span>on the vacant stool of the ancient town as a result of  <\/span>the death of the first king of the culturally inclined community. <\/span><\/p>\n

It was a carnival-like when Hrm Oba Egundupe kolawole Ilufemiloye 1, Olu of Ipajaland officially pronounced king. We have had Kings installed in places where  <\/span>gloom radiates the people\u2019s face and pretense of joy because such Kings are never \u201cIlufemiloye \u201c (acceptance across board). This can\u2019t be said of Oba Kolawole, the newly crowned king of ancient town in Alimosho. <\/span><\/p>\n

It was a day of joy for the sons and daughters of iPaja. The rich, the poor and political heavyweights are not left out. A king for all is installed. <\/span><\/p>\n

When asked by our reporters on how he feels for huge support from his subjects, he said \u201c it is a long journey that finally becomes a reality. What I will say is, just be good to your people and always make yourself available you may never know who is watching you\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

On how to move IPaja farward he has this to say\u201d Being the king does not mean I will be taking decision or doing things unilaterally, no! It is a collective thing by all and sundry. I will make sure I unite everybody so that we can have common goals that would foster development.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

On security, \u201cIn matter of days, there will be meetings between the palace and various clans within ipaja on instilling discipline in their wards as a task that must be done. We don\u2019t want criminals in our communities because we are peace loving people.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Oba Kolawole enjoys parents to groom their children with Yoruba cultural values  <\/span>in the manner of dressing, festivals and behaviors. <\/span><\/p>\n
