A pressure group within the All Progressives Congress in Alimosho, The  Liberation Movement, has called on the good people of Lagos West Senatorial District, especially the residents of Alimosho  to query why the senator representing them in the national assembly, Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) is yet to revalidates his membership of the party in the state.<\/p>\n

In a press release made available to the press on Sunday the 14 of February, the group stated that it is worrisome that the senator representing the largest senatorial district in the state is nowhere to be found in the ongoing exercise.<\/p>\n

 “It is not our right as constituents to tell him when to do it, but it is our right to be worried why he is yet to revalidates his membership. Even their self acclaimed \u2018Apex leader’ and his group have revalidated and displayed their membership cards  to encourage the good people of Alimosho to join the APC. <\/p>\n

\u201cSenator Adeola  attitude  shows the earlier rumoured that he will be registering in Ogun state and that is the reason he is  yet to decide if he will revalidates his membership of the APC in Lagos or Ogun state due to his 2023 permutations.” <\/p>\n

The statement states further,\u201dIt is common knowledge that Senator Yayi is eyeing Ogun west senatorial position as a step towards his Governorship ambition in 2027. It is sad and  self – serving holding your constituents in disdain due to your personal ambition. Where is Senator Yayi?\u201d<\/p>\n

“All elected office holders under the APC across the country have been participating in the ongoing Membership Registration and Revalidation Exercise. Even those who kicked against the exercise have done theirs for peace to reign. The highs and the lows have all moved out for the exercise.  They did not just register and creep into their homes but have also posted the pictures of themselves displaying their new membership slip.”<\/p>\n

“Yayi  is missing. Is he going to Ogun state to continues his selfish political ambition? Is he leaving the APC for another party? Is he moving from Lagos West to Lagos East or Lagos Central. If in the next few days, his hanky-pank game continues, we will not hesitate to mobilize in large numbers to the party’s secretariat to register our grievances of his  self serving attitude towards his constituents.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is actually what we have been saying that most of our representatives have nothing for the people but themselves alone. Isn’t that greed, you are yet to complete a mandate in a  state and at the same time pursuing same office in another state? <\/p>\n

“If he then goes  ahead to register in Ogun state as a APC member, the next thing for us the constituents is to call for his recall. You can’t be a member of Ogun west APC and in the same breath representating Lagos – west in the National Assembly.”<\/p>\n
