One of the leading aspirants in the forthcoming local government elections, Olusola Osolana has defected from the ruling All Progressives congress to the main opposition party,the people’s democratic party.
Ososlana who made the disclosure at his campaign office in atobaje area of Agege on the occasion of his birthday celebration said”Before now, I have been telling you all my supporters that my name will surely be on the ballot in the forthcoming local government but that I could not achieve on the platform of the ruling APC. Today, I make bold to say and tell you that, we have been covered under the umbrella to take Agege out of slavery.”
“I know the people of Agege have been clamouring for change, they have been yearning for liberation, but today the libration is here, and it has come to stay.”
When asked by our correspondent if he actually did consultation with his leaders before decamping, and if he eventually win the election, will he return back to the APC? He said ” The situation at hand is not about any leader but about the people who are clamouring for change and to have that should not necessarily be tied to a particular party. ”
“Meanwhile, it is not about ‘if’ I will win, I will win. The happenings isn’t really about ‘if’. The people are ready to vote for me no matter what the platform I’m using it’s flag.
He assured his supporters that, all plans and arrangements are ongoing to prevent any form of rigging or sabotage during the election.
