Ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed it’s planned congresses indefinitely.
The party in a letter addressed to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) dated July 6th 2021 signed by the Chairman of the Caretaker /Extraordinary Convention planning committee, H.E Mai Mala Buni and secretary, Senator John James Akpan Udoedehe disclosed that the congresses by the said letter has been suspended indefinitely.
According to the letter made available to newsmen on Friday titled Re- Notice of Congresses “we refer to our letter reference number APC/NHDQ/021/20 dated 10th June 2021 on the above subject and we wish to inform the commission that the party has rescheduled it’s congresses and National convention to a later date that will be communicated to you , and the letter serves as formal notification pursuant to the provision of section 85of the electoral (2010) as amended”
The postponement has laid to rest the speculation in some quarters that the ward Congress earlier planned for the 24th of July will ultimately clash with the local government elections in Ogun and Lagos states.
