More than a year after the release of his hit album titled: “Money Making Machine” (MMM), Fuji music star, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Odetola popularly known as Pasuma, would be releasing a follow-up album, after all. MMM was released into the music market in July 2020, by the Fuji star’s marketer, Alhaji Babatunde Saheed Of Role Model Entertainment. And immediately after its release, the album took the music industry by storm, as its lyrics became an Anthem of a sort, on the lips of not just Fuji music lovers, but music lovers generally. And the more some people expected the album to fade out, the more it kept becoming more popular, month after month.
And while many expected a follow-up album would come from Pasuma by December, 2020, in the name of his every December album release tagged: “December Tonic”, nothing came out from Pasuma. But most of Pasuma’s fans did not feel like anything was missing in December because MMM was still as hot as a new album. Even the albums released by some Fuji stars for December did not even measure up to the popularity of MMM in the music market. The only song that tend to shake and gave a MMM a run for its money in the Fuji music industry was “Ade Ori Okin” released by the King of Fuji music, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe Marshal better known as K1, in November 2020.
Fast forward to 2021. Since no new album after MMM came from Pasuma in November 2020, many of his fans expected that they would get something new from him early in the following year, but they only kept hoping and waiting as nothing still came. But as main Sallah festival known as Eid-El-Kabir by Muslims was approaching, feelers started coming from credible quarter that Pasuma was going to release a new album for his fans to celebrate the Sallah. Still disappointingly, Sallah came in July 2021, but it was still silence from Pasuma as far as a new album is concerned.
As July ended, and most of the fans of Oga Nla of Fuji as Pasuma is also known are getting wearied of waiting, it can be reported authoritatively that their waiting game will soon be over. Speaking in an exclusive chat with this writer a while ago, Alhaji Babatunde Saheed of Role Model Entertainment revealed that: ” Pasuma will release his new album immediately after he returns from world tour”. And fans of Pasuma should know that he jetted out of Nigeria on Monday, August 2nd, 2021, on a Summer Europe Tour that would take him to Spain, France, Germany, Holland, Italy and Turkey for shows.
And further findings revealed that he should be back in the country from tge tour by the end of the month.. And since the marketer hunted that he would be releasing his follow-up album to MMM immediately he returns from the trip, fans can be expecting the new album by the month end. Meanwhile, when the marketer was asked what the title of the coming album would be, he asserted that the title is still a top secret between him and Pasuma, but would be an attention grabbing title far more than MMM did.
So, as a Pasuma fan, all you have got to do for now is to keep your fingers crossed.
