Fellow Countrymen,
The first of October each year is an opportunity for us to reflect and thank God for His endless blessing on our country. I therefore join the patriotic men and women of our Beloved Nation, Nigeria to celebrate another Year of upholding the unity and cause of our great Nation.
Yes this is a thing of joy, that despite our shortcomings as a people, the unity of our Nation remains strong.
However, I Call on every Nigerian Home and Abroad to realize that despite the challenges facing us as a People Nigeria remains our home, irrespective of the differences in our tongue, culture, religion and others, our only hope is in standing together in brotherhood to make Nigeria a better place, our diversity isn’t a weakness but our strength, Your contribution and mine is the only way to regain the lost prestige of this Great Nation.
Let’s say no to political apathy because your ideas are needed in order not to let the effort of our founding fathers to be in vain.
This is the time to rededicate ourselves to the task of building a better Nigeria along the lines of selfless service and total conformity to the ideas of the founding fathers of our great country Nigeria.
As we celebrate the 60th Anniversary of our independence today, we should strive to preserve the Unity and Values of our Nation and always channel all our energy toward her survival, growth and glory.
May God Help us all in this endeavour, and may He continue to bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
