HRH Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Kuraja, the sarki overall and chairman of the chieftaincy council of Arewa community Alimosho, has in his independence message, expressed confidence that, despite the hydra headed challenges plaguing the nation, there was going to be light at the end of the tunnel, describing the current hiccups as a predestined trajectory and certainly a passing phase.
The royal father gave the verdict, while honoring the invitation extended to the chieftaincy council by the Lagos state government, through the ministry of home affairs; the commemorative ceremony which took place at the Agege township stadium, witnessed a masterful keynote address delivery by His Excellency Mr. Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu, where he conscientiously urged the citizenry to consolidate on our common good rather than dwelling on the un-helping negatives that tend to always reverse our forward march.
Continuing, the traditional symbol, re-echoed the Lagos state governor’s clarion call to the citizens to wear the gauntlet of patriotism, saying that, only when we collectively own our destiny, that, the country will speedily, emerge from the doldrums.
Concluding, he said, Lagos state as in the words of governor Sanwoolu, represent the litmus test for our resolve to lead the nation to a true, impregnable unity and prosperity for all; on our part, the assembly of Serikis, we will continue to preach and uphold patriotism, even as we continue to support the #GreaterLagos project as encapsulated in the themes agenda.
