In recognising and appreciating the good works of the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede (AKA Kendoo), in ameliorating the sufferings of the masses even before he assumes office, the Inner Wheel Club of Oregun Metro has presented him an impact and Appreciation award.
The humanitarian international organisation led by its President, Abiola Olufunke Aberuagba stormed the office of the chairman on Thursday to present him the award.
Presenting the award, Aberuagba said, the club presented Oloyede the award as a result of his impact for the good of the people before and on assumption of office.
“We recognise the meaningful impact of the chairman even ever before he assumes office, he has been seeing to the peoples’ welfare all these we recognise and felt, the best we could do is to present him this award of appreciation and impact,” she said.
The elevated council boss said this is the first award he will be receiving in his less than three months in office.
Oloyede said he cherished the award and hold it with the highest esteem.
He said the award is a call to more action as he assured that he will not relent on his oars to bring rapid infrastructure development to the people of his council.
“This is the first award I will be receiving as chairman of this local government, I hold it with high esteem. I thank you for this. I see it as a challenge on my part to keep up the work of developing our local government. This I want to assure you, I will not rest on my oars, we will work assiduously to bring unprecedented infrastructural development to the local government that will make it become a pride for all,” he said.
