The Lawmaker representing Alimosho Constituency II, also doubles as the Chairman, House Committee on Agriculture, in the ninth (9th) Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Kehinde Olaide Joseph, has called on the Muslim Ummahs and Nigerians across all faith to use the celebration of the Eid Maulud to advance the cause of religious tolerance, unity peaceful coexistence as practiced by Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W).
Hon Kehinde Joseph, who said this in a statement signed by his Head of Media and Strategic Communication, Comrade Olayiwola Rasheed Jebba Hamilton, to commemorate this year Maulud Nabiyy, describes these virtues as a necessity for growth and development in Nigeria, Lagos and Alimosho Constituency II in particular.
“Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) and Islam preached virtues that were equally necessary for building a virile society.”
“This period is an opportunity for sober reflection and a time to imbibe the virtues of love, peace, patience, honesty and communal living in our daily lives”, he said.
While wishing the Muslim Faithfuls a wonderful Eid Maulud celebration, he urged them to always pray for the government, the citizenry and the Nation.
