THE JOURNEY
The journey of MUIDEEN ADEBOWALE ADETUNJI (a.k.a. MD) reveals him as a Man of Purpose. And this purpose is clearly about Self-dignifying, People empowerment and, Nation-building. He has a profile that is rich in personal and business development, job and wealth creation, institutional development, and a commitment to strategic development of human capacity.
Muideen Adebowale Adetunji, popularly known as MD, was born in the 80s to a family of humble means. As such, he had a humble beginning like every common man in this country. He started his education in the year 1995 at Estate Primary School, Ladipo in Mushin, Lagos State. He completed this phase with a First School Leaving Certificate in year 2000. He proceeded to Oduduwa Secondary School in year 2001 for his Junior Secondary School education. In 2004, he moved to Offa Grammar School. He completed his Senior secondary studies here in year 2007. In the year 2010, he gained admission to study Bachelor of Technology (Microbiology) at Federal University of Technology, Minna. He earned his degree from this program in year 2014.
Interestingly, in the course of his undergraduate studies, he found himself drawn to Technologies. The modules he was most interested in were those about Computer Science and basic programming. This interest would later become the cornerstone of his personal advancement in life, in business, and in job creation.
Meanwhile, he obeyed the clarion call to serve the Nation in the National Youth Service Scheme between May 2015 and April 2016. He was deployed to a Secondary School to serve as a Subject Teacher. In his time there, he did more than this; He organized after-school-hours tutorial classes for the students and developed alternative yet complementary learning resources which helped the students understand their subjects better. He personally funded this initiative of his, as he had to enlist the services of other Corps Members and professionals alike.
In June 2016, based on his interest in digital technologies, he joined Qowisio, a tech-based company in Lagos State. He worked as a Technical support officer, providing necessary support and feedback to field engineers. He also doubled as a procurement officer for the company. When he called time on his employment in this company in year 2018, Muideen Adebowale Adetunji (a.k.a. MD) already set his sight on being a self-sufficient and a job-creating entrepreneur.
He had spent time reviewing the future of Banking System in the face of digital evolution. And once he left his role at Qowisio, he immediately launched himself into the Mobile Money Business. He started with just two (2) tiny business outlets. He named his Business outlets, Trilling Volant Services (TVS). Of course, the early days were filled with struggles. But being a determined man, he did not give up. And today, the business that started with just 2 outlets has grown into over a hundred – bigger in size and more sophisticated in service delivery.
He has stayed committed to his principles and vision, so much that under the umbrella of Trilling Volant Services (TVS), there is a now a modern bakery that ensures the people have access to fresh bread and other confectionery; a tech-based company that specializes in basic biometric registrations like BVN and NIN, effectively giving people the option to get these done seamlessly and quickly rather than the common option of queuing in the Banks and local secretariats for many hours. And there is also a School. Yes, a School — Al Abwayn Volant School, which uses refined resources and modern initiatives to teach pupils.
MD’s dream has always been to create financial freedom and empower the youths. To the glory of God, he has done remarkably well in this regard. In less than 4 years, he has empowered more than 200 youths through the Trilling Volant Services channel.
MUIDEEN ADEBOWALE ADETUNJI (a.k.a. MD) is a Man of Integrity. He is also a Philanthropist, a rear one at that, as he gives not only his substance (money), but also himself —wherever possible— to the service of the people in his locality.
