… Says this is the Payback time to reward Jagaban with our votes in 2023
The aspiration of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, received a major boost on Wednesday, 19th of January at the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja where thousands of past political office holders in Lagos State gathered to unanimously backed his Presidential Agenda under the umbrella; Grassroots Network For Asiwaju Tinubu (GNAT).
The event also has in attendance All Progressives Congress, APC stalwarts from other regions of the country to show solidarity with the group and identify with Asiwaju Tinubu’s Presidential bid.
According to the Chairman of the group, Hon. Abdur Rasheed Abiodun Mafe, the former Mosan Okunola LCDA Boss, “Our gathering here today is to identify and make a statement that we are for Asiwaju and this is the Payback time to reward him with our votes in 2023 but before we can achieve this, we have to do all we can, across the 774 local governments in the country that he has the clout, capacity and competency.”
“Asiwaju has a vision for this country and programmes that can propel this country to compete with developed countries if given Chance. So, my support, your support and our support is needed at this critical time. All that is required of us is to kick start mobilisation of preaching the gospel of the coming of Asiwaju.
“What we are witnessing in Lagos state today is a visionary acumen of this great man, he knows who is fits to do certain things, he knows how to get right people in the right positions. I believe strongly this is the time, and the better for Nigerians at large. Asiwaju should be given a chance.”
It will be recalled Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu made his intention known publicly earlier in the month to inform the President of his intention to contest for the office of the President, and subsequently the state house correspondents same day.
Since his public declaration, he has been traveling around the country to consult with various individuals and stakeholders.
The GNAT members include past Commissioners, legislators, local government chairmen and chairpersons, Vice chairmen and Vice chairpersons, councilors and past government appointees.
