A combined team of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) and the Lagos state task force on environment and special offences (Taskforce), under the directive of the commissioner of police Lagos state command, CP Sylvester Abiodun Alabi, today undertook a show of force exercise across strategic locations in lekki area of the state as a proactive measure to ensure Lagosians continue to enjoy uninterrupted peace.
The exercise, which was marshalled by the commander RRS, CSP Saheed Olayinka Egbeyemi, traversed the length and breadth of the lekki phase one areas, including inner roads of adjoining environs.
Preliminary findings as gathered amongst others, indicate that, the exercise is targeted at emplacing increased security and safety for the citizenry, as the nation gets set to mark it 62nd year independence tomorrow, October 1st, 2022.
