Following earlier warnings and assurances during his assumption of office as commissioner of police in charge of the Kebbi State command months back, CP Magaji A. Kontagora, has reiterated the command’s resolve under his watch to intensify multi faceted measures in maintaining a safe and secure state, noting that, sister agencies and strategic stakeholders including the army and traditional chiefdoms will continue to form part of the collaborative SECURITY architecture emplaced to wrest all shades of crimes to naught.
The Kebbi State police chief, made the declaration, when he led crack teams from the command on a working and operational visit to the Zuru Emirate council and the 223 Tank Battalion of the Nigerian army, where he, emphasized the call to sustain community and inter agency collaborations, in crime fighting across the state of Kebbi.
The Commissioner, who in the course of the special exercise led the teams on widespread combing of suspected havens of criminal bandits, sent out strong signals to criminal gangs anywhere in the state, warning that, Kebbi State, will never be safe whatsoever, for criminals, as he further assured citizens of sustained surveillance to guarantee their safety and security.
He went further to call on the good citizens of the state not to hesitate to always assist the police with reliable information on suspected criminal activities anywhere across the state, adding that, doing that, will undoubtedly assist the police in fighting crimes more effectively, thus, safeguarding the safety and security of life and property.
