The Oyo State Police are still in disbelief after one, Mr. Riliwan Arigbabuwo,a man arrested on suspicion of being an homosexual male, was able to disappear from the police radar even before being charged for the alleged offense.
Working on intelligence garnered, the law enforcement officers swung into action and were able to apprehend both Tunde and his alleged partner,Jide Adeyemi.
Despite that the accused was granted bail after insisting that he was not guilty, the Investigation Prosecution officer, Inspector Raji Idris, is confident that the police have sufficient evidence to secure a conviction when the case begins in earnest.
The challenges faced by individuals like Arigbabuwo highlight the need for a more nuanced understanding of human rights and the importance of protecting vulnerable groups from discrimination and persecution.
