A leading aspirant for the chairmanship seat of Oshodi isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Adeola Almaroof Oloyede a.k.a kendoo has appealed to all the aspirants contesting in the primary election to ensure peaceful coexistence and devoid of violence, stressing that the progress and development of Oshodi should be paramount to all,he said only a peaceful Oshodi will guarantee prosperity for all.
While speaking with journalists on his preparedness for the primary, the property developer cum politician disclosed that he has done enough consultations with the leaders, members and all the people that will have role to play in the election and that his being born in the town is also a plus, that will ultimately tilt victory in his favour.
Otunba Oloyede also posited that his wealth of experience in the business world has positioned him appropriately for the job ahead and that will equally count in his favour as they go to the poll on Saturday to choose a flag bearer for the ruling All progressives Congress (APC) in the local government.
According to him” let me first and foremost thank God almighty for the grace given me to be amongst those to be considered for the plum job of chairman of Oshodi Isolo. I want to appreciate all co aspirants for the peaceful conduct so far , and I will appeal that we should continue to exhibit the character of enlightened people before, during and after the election. Peace should be allowed to reign during the election.”
Furthermore, the business mogul equally averred that democracy is a game of number, he will abide by the outcome of the election on Saturday, since he is a democrat and a firm believer in the rule of law and due process.
“My team and my humble self believe in democracy, so no matter the outcome on Saturday, we will accept it, but with our consultation and strategic planning, we shall carry the day, we are sure of victory on Saturday as we have done the necessary consultations and met with all stakeholders who have embraced our manifesto for the development of a new Oshodi. We have got what it takes to win election, and that will be brought to bear on the process on Saturday, ” he said.
Conclusively, he commended the national leader of the party,Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for giving everyone the opportunity to slug it out at direct primary as stipulated by the constitution of the party.
He assured that with the cooperation of co aspirants, the primary election in Oshodi on Saturday will be devoid of acrimony or violence as being speculated by nay Sayers.
He however appealed to his teeming supporters to troop out en masse to cast their vote for him on Saturday, assuring them that he will turn around the fortunes of Oshodi isolo positively
