As part of activities to honour the holy month of Ramadan and to establish the presence of City Boy in Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, the Convener of City Boy Diaspora, Canada, Hon. Abdullah Abdul Wasiu, organised a Ramadan lecture and iftar (breaking of fast) at the party secretariat of the local government.
The lecture was attended by the APC Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. Mukaila Yunusa, alongside other party leaders and faithful. The topic of the lecture, “Leadership as Trust,” was delivered by Sheikh Abubakr Ishaq Ojibara as the guest lecturer.

Speaking at the event, Sheikh Ojibara described leadership as a divine responsibility that must be exercised with sincerity and the fear of Allah.
“Leadership is a trust from Allah, and anyone entrusted with authority must discharge such responsibility with honesty, justice and the fear of Allah.”
“Every position of leadership is a test, and those in authority must always remember that they will answer to Allah for how they lead the people.”
He further stressed, “True leadership is service to the people, and a leader who fears Allah will always put the interest of the masses above personal gain.”

The highlight of the event was a special prayer session offered for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, seeking Allah’s mercy, good health and divine guidance for him to succeed in delivering on his Renewed Hope Agenda.
The organisers said the programme was aimed at strengthening party unity, encouraging spiritual reflection during Ramadan and deepening grassroots political engagement in Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA.
