The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has extended heartfelt greetings to workers across the country in commemoration of the 2026 Workers’ Day celebration.
In her message marking the occasion observed on Friday, May 1, 2026, the First Lady praised the resilience, diligence, and unwavering commitment of Nigerian workers, acknowledging their pivotal role in driving national growth and development.
She emphasized that from public servants to private sector professionals, artisans, entrepreneurs, and informal sector contributors, the collective efforts of workers remain the backbone of Nigeria’s progress.
Senator Tinubu also recognized the significant contributions of trade unions in promoting the welfare and rights of workers, commending their continued advocacy and cooperation in strengthening the nation’s workforce.
