The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Alimosho Local Government Branch, led by Comr. Oyero Abiodun wishes to formally commend the Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Akinpelu Johnson, and the Vice Chairman, Hon. Adebisi Francis, on the occasion of their first anniversary in office.
Over the past year, the Chairman has demonstrated exemplary and people-centered leadership, with an administration marked by tangible achievements across critical sectors that directly impact the lives of residents, particularly the youth population of Alimosho Local Government Area.

Youth Empowerment
Under their leadership, Alimosho LG has recorded notable strides in youth empowerment, providing platforms and opportunities that have enabled young people within the council to develop skills, access resources, and participate meaningfully in the socio-economic growth of the local government.
One of which is the Adire training organized in the month of November 2025.
Community Development
The administration’s commitment to grassroots development has been evident through various community-focused projects designed to improve the standard of living of residents and strengthen local institutions across the Seven (7) wards that make up Alimosho.
Road Infrastructure
Significant investment in road infrastructure has improved connectivity across the local government, easing the movement of goods and people and supporting economic activities within the area.
Notable mentions are Benesther street, Sekoni street, amongst others.
Healthcare Initiatives
The Chairman also prioritized community health, championing initiatives aimed at improving access to healthcare services for residents, particularly the most vulnerable members of the community.
Education
The Chairman has been actively advancing the education sector for Alimosho residents, giving out Free GCE and JAMB forms at different intervals in the last one year. There’s also a free Summer class ongoing for Primary school pupils across government-owned schools in the community.
The NYCN Alimosho Local Branch, as the umbrella body representing the youth of Alimosho, recognizes and appreciates these efforts and encourages the administration to sustain this pace of purposeful governance in the years ahead.

“On behalf of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Alimosho Local Branch, we salute the doggedness, transparency, and dedication that have defined the one-year stewardship of Hon. Akinpelu Johnson. The achievements in youth empowerment, community development, road infrastructure, and healthcare are commendable and worthy of celebration. We assure them of the continued support and partnership of the youths of Alimosho as they work towards a greater local government for all.”
The council reaffirms its commitment to working hand-in-hand with the Alimosho Local Government administration to further advance the interest and welfare of young people within the council, and looks forward to more impactful years ahead.
