Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,
The National Leader,
All Progressives Congress,
Lagos Chapter
Sir
REQUEST FOR THE FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF THE AGREEMENT REACHED ON THE RESOLUTION OF POLITICAL CRISIS IN ALIMOSHO
The long agitation for justice and freedom from political slavery would have been successfully addressed during the last party primaries but the slave masters in Alimosho thwarted the process.
The state party leadership called leaders of both sides and a truce was brokered, even though it was more to their advantage. Our leaders admonished us to respect the caliber of our state leaders that brokered the peace and the agreement reached at the meeting.
The following were some of the agreements reached at the meeting;
I. It was agreed that all first term sitting council Chairmen be returned.
II. It was agreed that Oseni Olajide Ahmed of the Alimosho Liberation Movement be made to occupy the Chairmanship position for Ikotun-Igando LCDA.
III. It was agreed that the coalition of the Alimosho Liberation Movement and the Alimosho Veterans would occupy the office of the Vice Chairman in four Alimosho LG and three other LCDAs.
IV. It was agreed that the Liberation Movement and Veterans would occupy the offices of the Secretary to the Local Government wherever the other faction presented the Chairman.
V. It was agreed that both factions would share the councillorship seats with Alimosho Liberation Movement and Alimosho Veterans taking more than the Enilolobo-led faction.
Unfortunately, and as usual of them, these self-serving leaders of the other group have begun to flout the understanding that was reached at that meeting. It gets more worrisome knowing that there was no written agreement to the truce agreed upon.
Our position on this is very clear and simple. All we ask for is that the state party Chairman, Hon. Tunde Balogun, be instructed to release the Chairmanship LASIEC form for Igando-Ikotun LCDA, 4 LASIEC forms for Vice Chairmanship candidates and the number of agreed LASIEC councillorship forms for the other LCDAs to our leader, Hon. Joke Orelope Adefulire today, unfailingly. This is because we learnt that Enilolobo has boasted that he would not honour the agreed position and sharing formula.
As regard other terms of the agreement, we would appreciate that a written agreement be presented to authenticate the agreement as antecedents have proven that Enilolobo-led G-18 can never be trusted with verbal agreements.
Already, there are flying rumours about the Enilolobo-led G-18 is already denying having any agreement with the coalition of Alimosho Liberation Movement and Alimosho Veterans. To forestall further crisis and agitation, we are, hereby appealing to the leadership of the party to look into this and get it corrected.
We all belong to this party and have made sacrifices to sustain it and so, one man must not be seen to be stronger than the party.
Signed:
Secretary,
Coalition of Alimosho Liberation Movement & Veterans,
Engineer Akinyemi Ajigbotafe.
