A one time chairman of Oshodi/Isolo local government, Prince Samuel Aina has been appointed to lead a fifteen member committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to reconcile all aggrieved members of the party in the local government as a necessary move to calm frayed nerves from the intrigues of the politics of the primary election that was held on May 29 in the state.
A seasoned administrator and educationist, Comrade Olukayode Salako, is the secretary of the committee , while other prominent politicians in the party, were also appointed into the peace building committee.
Amongst terms of reference of the committee include , to make sure that all of or any of the aggrieved aspirants, who contested in the primary election is appeased and reconciled back to the party’s operational spirit and family commitment.
The committee was mandated to pay necessary visit to thank, update and intimate the elders, leaders and prominent stakeholders in the party about the achievements of the committee.
Earlier in his speech,the Acting chairman of APC in the local government,Hon. Saheed Animashaun disclosed that the party took the decision to douse tension generated by the intrigues that characterised the primary election of the party.
He said those chosen are critical stakeholders and genuine party leaders,stressing that he has confidence in them and that they will deliver on the assignment. .
The committee has been given two weeks to submit the report of their findings.
