The chairman of Ojokoro LCDA on thursday listed his administration achievements in the past three years and his future plans in taking the local government to an enviable heights.
Hammed Idowu popularly called(HID) stated this during a working visit by Dr. Wale Ahmed, the commissioner for local government and community affairs in Lagos state to the local government.
In his words “ With the resources at our disposal my administration has been able to fix several roads, invested hugely in education,sports , security and other areas. It will surprise you that, we have a progrmme for the youths in the area of sport where we sponsored them for football trials in Europe and I can happily confirm to you that, we are succeeding as our boys are getting signed in Europe”
“Also, we are not turning blind eyes to ICT, we have established a standard ICT center for our youths as we all know , technology is the future, hence , our deliberate decision to key into it”
When asked what is administration is doing to partner with private sectors in moving the local government forward , he said “ though in the last three years our activities were majorly executed solely and with the support of the community but we are working round the clock to bringing everyone onboard in achieving our campaign promises. ”
A working visit is a routine exercise carried out by the ministry in charge of local government to assess their performance, evaluate and make recommendations where necessary.
