Howbeit, the progressives minded Individual who all wore shining armor of good intentions – to promote the image of the governor and to help fast track grassroot development by bringing the government closer to the people, raised a motion for the creation of a platform to be named after the triumphed governor, hence the “Dapo Abiodun Likeminds.” It was that brief meeting that metamorphosed into today’s biggest political platform.
With no much deliberation and a strong notion for productivity, Hon. Adewale Aka; SA on special duties emerged as the state chairman, the ego-less youth leader Comr. Rasheed Aroboto was honorably made the state vice chairman while the third element of the trilogy Comr. Aderele Michael emerged as the state PRO.
Effortlessly, Dapo Abiodun Likeminds shot her root deeply in the polity of Ogun state shortly after the general election which saw to the triumphant entry of Omoba Dapo Abiodun as the executive governor. Obviously, the platform was created with undiluted aims to support the Dapo Abiodun led adminstrations’ developmental policies and rally more supports from the masses. These well pictured aims has not only made the platform a widely recognised one, but has also catapulted her above disengagement.
Overtly, Dapo Abiodun Likeminds has been firmly rooted in the 20 local government areas herein the state. This development is no praise to other factors than tenable hardwork, dedication, commitment and good leadership skills exercised among all hierarchies of the platform’s leadership structure and the members at large.
The story won’t a blockbuster without the reckoning of highly spirited leaders who fought tirelessly the good fight of faith and serves as supportive trees upholding the threshold of the platform. The likes of; Hon.Olowokere Abolade , Hon.Yemisi Owoyele, Hon. Arije fisayo, Hon. Oluwole Mayowa, Hon. Wasiu Ishola, Hon. Popoola Adesina Bolaji (SSA to Governor), Hon. Hadi Sanni (SA to Governor), Alhaja Okin Okanlomo (Deputy State Women leader), Hon.Sosanya Sotayo Adewunmi (Ogun East Senatorial Chairman), Chief Abdulwasiu (Ogun West Senatorial Chairman), Mr. Ade A. Adesilu (Ogun Central Senatorial Chairman) and other strong gladiators whom space won’t permit their mentioning.
Without mincing words, the platform has since her inauguration never relented in pushing forward to achieve her set goals. This was made imminent with her tentacles being spread across the state and far beyond; and her financial buoyancy to empower loyal members. “These and more should be expected from a platform that homes the best political gladiators and mercenaries in the polity of Ogun state.”
