The Donner foundation has gave out food items and free medical services to over a hundred beneficiaries in Sasa area of Alimosho local government.
The gesture according to the foundation, is part of its corporate social responsibilities to the community.
The exercise which lasted for over five- hour afforded the residents access to free medical services and advice as tests were carried out and prescriptions offered
According to the chairman of the foundation, Mr. Abiodun Otun,”This is a passion for me. Giving is everything. Donner foundation is never birthed for profit making but solely to help the less privileged in the society.”
“Let me corroborate my philosophy with the saying that says “ He who has never denied himself for the sake of giving, has but glanced at the joys of charity.”
On his part, the financial secretary of the foundation, Mr. Kehinde Ajadi said, “We are a Non-Governmental Organization from diverse ethnicity coming together to work actively with the government, private sector, partner with International stakeholders who share the same passion for growth and development.”
“Our mission is to positively impact the community, the people by contributing our funds, network for the progress, development and safety of our community and also bringing together like minds who share constructive ideas.”
One of the beneficiaries, Mr. Felix Aduba said, “I have never witness things like this before where you are giving medical services with food items. This is a novel gesture and I pray that God almighty continue to bless the foundation.”
The Donner foundation humanitarian activities is not limited to a specific area but all that has to do with people’s need.
