The proprietor, Meric – Victory School, Mr. Erinola Abayomuyiwa has reiterated his committment to continuous partner Non-governmental Organisations to support Lagos State Government in providing sound and quality education for pupils of less-priviledges in the state.
He said the school is structured accordance with private schools policy and standard but relaxes its financial policy to accommodates the children from less privileged homes to support both the goverment and lower level parents to reduce the number of children without education.
He stressed that the idea would further reduced crime and criminality in the society, saying education is a legacy every parents must give to their children. Government can not do it alone.
Mr Abayomuyiwa disclosed this at the annual thanksgiving day and end of the year celebration organised for the students in the school premises.
According to Mr. Abayomuyiwa, “we give God all the glory in this journey, this initiative was birthed four years ago with less than fifty pupils but today we have over six thousands students and still counting.
“It is not the numbers of the students we have that is matter but the lives we are touching through several non-governmental organisations (NGOs) we are partnering with to instill morals into these kids and expose them to all they need to know as regard security issues, sex education and entrepreneurial skills amongst other contemporary issues.”
He appealed to the parents and guardians not to relent the training of their children or wards to teachers alone. Every child must have better home training to boost their morals in the society. Education encompasses what we learn in school, it includes moral and talent education, he added.
