In his famous inaugural speech as the 35th Presidents of the United States of America, John F. Kennedy said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” This aptly describes Deacon Ilupeju’s foundation(family) gesture to their community at Sasa in Alimosho local government area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
The statement is a call to action for the public to do what is right for the greater good of their immediate communities.
Sometimes last year, when the children of late Deacon paul set to bury their father but the deteriorated state of the road leading to their parents house isn’t what to be proud of at all.
This uninspiring development according to sources made the family dejected and vowed to get the roads fixed as their own contributions to the growth of the community.
Since last Thursday, January 7th, 2021 after an approval was granted by the local government council, Alhaja Rafatu Oseni Close, Oremeji bus stop, Sasa has wore a new look.
When our correspondent visited the vicinity recently, a source close to one of the financiers (family) of the project quoted him thus: ” Aside doing this to immortalised our late father, as citizens we should also at any given opportunity, make ourselves available to serve and contribute to the development of our immediate communities.”
“This is part of many contributions coming from Deacon Paul Ayanrele Ilupeju Foundation to our people”
“We will continue doing our bit to Support our community, he said.
