…Emphasizes the importance of regular check-ups to living a healthy life.
As part of efforts to correct the health deficits of the people occasioned by not having regular medical attention which is one of the challenging issue leading to deplorable state of health among the people, Comrade Olumodeji Samuel, Friday organized free medical outreach services to the people of Ewu ward in Oshodi Isolo local government area of Lagos State.
The medical outreach exercise witnessed a large turnout of residents who came to have free check-ups on Blood pressure, Sugar level, and others with Free drugs given to them to help regularize their health condition.
The medical outreach was in conformity with the rules of COVID-19 with no fewer than 250 people benefited from the exercise which lasted for six hours
According to the organizer, who is also a leading aspirant jostling for the position of councilor, Ward E2 , legislative arm of Oshodi -Isolo Local Government said that the intention that propelled the exercise is to again awaken the people’s mind to the importance of having regular medical check up as an antidote to various health challenges that cut many lives short.
He said that regular medical check up have lot of benefits to living a healthy life as prevention is better than cure which is why many are living in a state of ignorance due to absence of this constant check up.
The aspirant while reacting to questions from journalists said he has many programs lined up for his community part of which is the free medical outreach while some will soon be unveiled as he is on the mission of ensuring that the community experience positive change.
He recalled that during the heat of the Pandemic Covid-19 with many palliatives he shared to the people as a support mechanism that many areas that have been neglected which he will continue to work on, to better lives at the grassroots.
He appreciates the community leaders for their unflinching love and support in making the program a huge success ,while he assured them of his commitment to keep serving the people and the community better in his capacity till the best his achieved.
