The leadership of NANS JCC LAGOS lead by Comrade Ogunsanya Rasheed has distance the ASSOCIATION from the JUNE 12 protest.
The association in its statement made available to the press said “We wish to state categorically that as an association we believe in dialogue not war, this prompted us to organize the Lagos Students Security Summit where we discuss wayforward on the security issues in the country and a white paper have since been forwarded to the Governor for implementation.”
It will be recalled that, Sowore and those calling for Yoruba secession are planning rallies in lagos state to distrupt activities on June 12 declared as democracy day by the federal government to immortalise the late business mogul and icon of democracy,Bashorun M.K.O Abiola who died on June 12 in 1998 from the military incaseration.
The student body stated further “We use this medium to also appeal to our students across the state to stay away from any form of protest that will cause damage to the state and the country by extension.”
