Few weeks to the local government election in Lagos State, candidate of the ruling All progressives Congress (APC) in Oshodi Isolo local government,Otunba Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede has intensified his campaign across the local government calling on all members of the party to unite so as to be able to win the election convincingly.
His campaign for the exalted seat equally received blessing from royal fathers in the local government and party leaders.
While addressing party faithfuls at a meeting organized by the incumbent vice chairman of the local government, Tpl Daisi Oso, the candidate assured everyone that his administration will be for all and an inclusive government, urging all to put behind them the acrimony that occurred prior to the primary election.
Otunba Oloyede also disclosed that his ambition to lead the local government is a divine call and assured that God almighty is in control.
According to him”i want to appeal to you all to see this contest as divinely ordained by God.So,let’s eschew bitterness and put behind us, the acrimony that occurred before the primary election. As party members let’s close ranks and forge ahead for landslide victory in July. Let me put it in record, that we shall run all inclusive government , we shall be transparent and accountable to the people.My emergence as party candidate has clearly shown God is at work. I want to urge us all to go to the election and win convincingly and be rest assured that no one will be left out. ”
The incumbent vice chairman, Hon Daisi Oso in his remarks also appealed to all party members to join the campaign for Otunba Oloyede for total victory in the July 24th election, stressing that only a total victory will signify that APC is the only acceptable party in the country.
Party members present at the gathering unanimously promised to support and vote for Otunba oloyede.
Earlier in the day, the campaign train of Otunba Oloyede had received blessing of the Regent of Oshodi, Chief Biliaminu Akinola,the two Baales in Shogunle, Chief Rafiu Ajishegiri and High Chief Muniru Obirairo.
The three royal father’s promised to use their offices to ensure the candidate of the APC wins and prayed for the success of the election.
