The candidacy Hon Kevin Gabriel of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Apapa local government area of Lagos State in the forthcoming July has been described as the best in the circumstance.
This position was made known on Wednesday in Apapa by a politician and a labour Activist, Comrade Olukayode Adegboro while reacting to the emergence of candidates across the state.
The labour activist stated that the choice of Hon Kevin is a welcome development and has put to rest politics of those he described as ‘desperadoes” and that the local government will ultimately benefit immensely from his wealth of experience as a businessman with visible means of livelihood.
According to him” let me applaud the state chapter of our great party for the choice of Honourable Kevin Oluwaseun Gabriel for us in Apapa local government. From my knowledge of him, he is a versatile man with visible means of livelihood unlike what we used to have in the past. He is a young man who has transversed the length and breadth of the country to engage in business dealings. ”
Continuing” he is a professional in politics and not a professional politician and I am confident like other decent and responsible residents and business owners in Apapa that he will impact positively when elected, as he knows the nitty gritty of the council.”
The labour activist equally appealed to the candidate not to toe the line of his predecessor who was assisted to climb the ladder of progress but his greed and desperation led to his rejection by those who made him.
” Let me equally appeal to Hon Kevin to see his position as a divine one and the people should ultimately rejoice during his time. He should not in anyway follow the road passed by his predecessor, who got there through the grace of God and support of some leaders , but turned himself to thingod. He was brought into the council as nobody but he became somebody and became uncontrollable and unanswerable to anyone , even this who brought him from nowhere. ”
Hon Kevin, he opined must deviate from the policies of the outgoing government and return the council back on the path of progress and development, stating that the interest of the people must prevail at all times.
He finally used to opportunity to appeal to residents and business owners in Apapa to troop out en masse and support Hon Kevin Gabriel so that the lost glory of Apapa will be returned.
