The ruling party’s candidate for the July 24th local government election in Apapa local government council of Lagos State, Hon. Kevin Oluwaseun Gabriel has disclosed that he is well prepared to lead the council to progressive development once elected.
The business man cum politician made the disclosure on Friday immediately after himself, his vice chairman and councillors had their nomination validated by the umpire, Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), stressing that ,he is well prepared for the assignment and that the people will ultimately rejoice when he assumes office.
While speaking with journalists after the validation exercise, he stated that the programmes and projects of the APC led government in the state is a confirmation of what to expect when he is elected, commending Governor Babajide Sanwoolu for his pragmatic leadership.
According to him’ this validation exercise has been done and we are prepared to go to the election and win convincingly. People of Apapa will rejoice when we assume of office as I am confident that the good work of our party at the state level is a pointer to what should be expected during our time. The government will be people friendly and our projects pro people. ”
Continuing” let me also reiterate that the good job being executed by our amiable and pragmatic Governor will spur us to work for the development of our local government. I must commend Mr Governor for his leadership sagacity and commitment to good governance. We shall replicate his good projects in our local government… ”
Hon KOG equally used the opportunity to call on aggrieved party members to join him in restoring Apapa back to what it used to be.
He assured that he will run an inclusive government and that loyal party members should rally round him and his councilors to win the forthcoming election to be able to deliver on his promises to the residents.
The APC candidate also commended the state’s party chairman, Alhaji Tunde Balogun for his exemplary leadership style even in the face of trouble, describing him as a ‘ great leader, very unassuming , calm and proficient in his job’.
He however enjoined all party faithfulls to close ranks and work for the success of the party in the forthcoming election.
