The Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in Oshodi Isolo local government area of Lagos State on Monday flagged off his campaign in a carnival like manner , in which several notable politicians within and outside of the council area eulogized the businessman for his exemplary leadership style that will be made to bear on governance in the local government.
Members of the party,APC from the seven wards started arriving the Owosheni primary school venue of the flag off as early as 12 noon for a programme slated for 3pm with different banners of the property consultant and his deputy as well as the councillorship candidates.
Dignitaries from the political parties within and outside the council, business tycoons, community and religious leaders praised Otunba Oloyede for his diligence, resilience and his commitment to good governance and development of Oshodi Isolo, stressing that he will turn around the fortunes of the local government.
The highlight of the occasion was the grand entry of the Candidate, his deputy, the incumbent chairman Hon Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh, chairman NURTW Lagos state Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, Fuji Musician Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma.
The Acting Chairman in his welcome address thanked almighty God for the peaceful conduct of the primary election as well as the choice of Otunba Oloyede as Chairman.
He promised that he is certain that Otunba Oloyede will deliver on his campaign promises , urging all members of the ruling party to go out and do vigorous campaign in their wards, so that the party can win with wide margin in the forthcoming election.
Alhaji Animashaun equalled disclosed the efforts of the party under his leadership since the conduct of the primary election stressing that the party is United behind the candidate of the party.
In his reaction,the council chairman,Hon Bolaji Ariyoh assured all that the transition will be done seamlessly and that a total victory for the candidate is sure..
In his reaction,Otunba kehinde Almoroof Oloyede reeled out his programme to include infrastructural development,youth reorientation and empowerment as well economic development of the local government.
He expressed his appreciation to the party leadership for the love and support so far enjoyed since his emergence ,pledging to deliver on his promises and execute the Laudable projects of the ruling party .
After the presentation of the party’s flag and symbol of the candidate and his Voice chairman, Alhaji Pasuma sang melodious songs soliciting for support for Otunba Oloyede and all the candidates.
