…. Oshodi-Isolo Football Caoches drum support for Kendooo
The MC Oluomo Football Club defeated the APC football Club 2 goals to lift the Oshod Footbal Coaches Society football competition.
The football competition which was supported by Otunba Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede, the Oshodi-Isolo local government chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the coming July 24, local government elections in Lagos.
Speaking at end of the competition, the Head of Football Coaches in Oshodi-Isolo local government, Mr Chukwu Oguala, said the football competition was held in honour of Otunba Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede to show him solidarity and commitment at ensuring he wins the coming July 24, local government elections.
He, said, “we appreciate the APC candidate for his tremendous support to make this competition a reality, we staged the competition in show of commitment to support his candidature. From the meeting we had with him, he made some promises to support the sports in Oshodi and since then, he has been showing that, this effort is what made us organise the completion in his honour which he tremendously supported.
This match is to show him support to make sure he wins the coming local government elections and invariably help making real his promises to sports in Oshodi.”
He advice youths to stay away from hard drugs and hooliganism, these he said would help them have a better future.
“I want to seize this medium to advice our youths to stay away from hard drugs and smoking l, only if they abstain from these they will have better future,” he said.
Speaking on behalf of the Otunba Oloyede, former Supervisor for Youth and Sports Development, Oshodi-Isolo local government and Acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Saheed Animashaun thanked the organisers of the football competition.
He reiterated Kendoo’s commitment to the development of sports and youth engagement if elected chairman of the council.
He said, “this football competition was supported by Kendoo as part of his show of to develop sports and engage the youths in different skills thereby taking them off the streets.
“This is the beginning of the many sporting activities to shape the lives of youth positively in the local government once he assumes office as chairman of the council.”
