The entire Igbo community in Ilogbo has distanced itself from Mr. Okeke Livinus Ikechukwu and striped him of ‘Ogbuehi Illogbo’.
It is on record, that the place of his HrH. Eze Dr. Peter Olikanyi Omenife with sense of honesty deem it fit to honour some Igbo prominent sons and daughters whom the palace considered worthy for their contributions to igbo communities.
The palace, as at the time of confirment and the process that led to it, thought Mr. Okeke Livinus is eminently qualified too by our criteria due to informations within our disposal then, but event that followed it showed we were wrong to have included him in this ‘Hall of Honours’ titles.
Traditionally, there are certain fufilment to be met for the office paraphernalia (Chieftaincy) for anyone to be honored in our culture and his Lolo (wife) but having indicated his interest in the chieftaincy title – he later approached the palace for a consideration and a waiver was granted him.
Not too long after the installation, he could not fufil his promises to the palace and cannot represent Igbo community in the capacity of the chieftaincy confered on him.
Instead of him to rather seek a common ground with the palace, he went about saying the chieftaincy was forced on him!
The revered palace of Eze Dr. Peter Olikanyi Omenife and others Ezes would not stoop so low by exchanging words with him.
The palace has ‘refund’ every penny he deposited with it, as we await him to return our ID card in his possession.
We therefore at our critical stakeholders meeting resolved thus ;
