… Council Chair promises good governance at grassroot
The Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede on Thursday joined his colleagues across the state for an induction course to prepare them for the task ahead.
The induction course organised by the state’s ministry of local government is designed to prepare and equip the new local government and local council development areas helmsman on local government administration and strategies to adopt at ensuring successful administration at the council levels.
The council boss who was among the first to register for the day’s proceedings radiated confidence and preparedness for the task of governance.
Speaking with journalists at the lobby of the Eko Hotel and Suites, venue of the induction program, the council boss commended the state Governor, Mr Bababije Sanwo-Olu for the initiative describing it as “impactful and will greatly assist them in the discharge of their duties.
Otunba Oloyede equally showered encomium on the ministry of local government for organizing such an educative induction, praising the commissioner for local government for his leadership dexterity.
According to him “this induction course is a welcome development, impactful and critical, as it will greatly assist us in the discharge of our duties to our people. The admonition by the Governor is well taken and I will replicate his good governance in my local government”.
“Let me however commend Mr Governor for initiating this laudable course, his leadership style will be emulated by me. I will also replicate his THEMES agenda in my local government. Mr Governor is providing progressive leadership and we shall follow him dutifully,” he said.
“The entire ministry of local government under the leadership of Dr Wale Ahmed must be applauded for organizing a successful induction course, his leadership style is uncommon in our clime.”
The induction course will be rounded up on Friday, 6 August 2021.
