The Community Development Links Initiatives (CDLi) has honoured the newly elected Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Chief Mrs. Bola Shobowale with its prestigious award for her contributions to the development of the community.
The award was basically to honour those who contributed to the development of their communities and education in the past and present.
The NGO at the grand finale of its 2012 Summer School Project for vulnerable school children, awarded lots of personalities who have in one way or the other supported children’s education in the various communities within the LCDA.
According to the director and founder of the CDLi, Mrs. Yetunde Joseph,”our current chairman is a lover of children and education. We are not honouring her because of her position but her past records in the last three decades in Alimosho. As you can see, our children who performed brilliantly in the two weeks summer class were rewarded too.
“Hence, our mama deserves this commendation award in order to encourage her to double her efforts in assisting the vulnerable children’s education. We are sure her administration will not disappoint.
“As she resumed to duty few weeks back, our prayers are that God will grant her sound health and wisdom to take Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA to an enviable heights, at CDLi, we trust her capacity.”
Mr. J.O Alimi who received the award on behalf of the Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA boss, expressed the chairman’s appreciation to CDLi for the honour and their believe in her administration and readiness to partner with the LCDA.
“With all I have seen today, I will convey your messages and my experiences here today to the executive chairman. Your plans for our kids in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA are lofty ones and definitely the local government will partner with you in the best areas possible,”Alimi said.
The Community Development Links Initiatives award is the first award to be given to the executive chairman since her assumption of office according to a source close to the council boss.
