Honourable Akin Bashiru, South-West Nigeria Zonal representative on the Board of Governors, National Bureau of Statistics received in audience, today Chief Tunde Aboyade, the newly elected Lagos State Vice Chairman, Lagos West Senatorial District of the APC.
Chief Aboyade, in continuation of his visits to stakeholders in Alimosho Federal Constituency, informed Hon. Akin Bashiru that the purpose of his tour was to solicit for unity and cooperation, where he also expressed his desire to ensure that Party Governance, going forward, is built on strategic plank of Inclusiveness where all members will be recognised and encouraged to play their roles in the quest to further reposition our party.
Whilst talking about his troubleshooting efforts mandated by the State Party’s Topmost hierarchy, Chief Aboyade emphasised the need to have the support of all stakeholders in Alimosho in order to put an end to whatever it is that has divided the party in Alimosho. According to him, it is when we are united that we become stronger and can achieve more. Responding to his guest, Akin Bash congratulated Chief Aboyade and assured him of his support. Akin Bash also encouraged Aboyade to be ready and seen always to genuinely pursue the path of truth and honesty in the discharge of his responsibility without discrimination in any guise.
Chief Aboyade’s pedigree as a unifer and doer immemorially, according to Akin Bashiru, stands him in a good stead needed to achieve a meaningful unification across Alimosho and by extension Lagos West. Akin Bashiru advised him to be courageous and steadfast in his pursuit of the progressives party governance that leaves no one behind.
Speaking further, Akin Bashiru enjoined the party leadership to ensure that governance, at the local council must be inclusive and respectful of the roles and responsibilities of both the elected and appointed officials who must be allowed to operate without discrimination, and in the larger interest of the society.
While wishing Chief Aboyade success in his new assignment, Hon. Akin Bashiru called on party members to join hands in order to foster unity and progress that we all urgently and assuredly desire. It is only these are put in place that the commonality, that has eluded the party, can become a thing of the past.
