The All Progressives Congress, APC, Vice-Chairman for Lagos West Senatorial District, Chief Babatunde Sunday Aboyade, with Lawyer Ogunwuyi and the pioneer Secretary to the Local Council, Egbe-Idimu LCDA, also doubles as the Osun State Former Special Adviser on Mineral Resources and Forestry, Hon Ajilore, Sunday, October 31, 2021 attended the harvest thanksgiving service of Celestial Church of Christ, Kankan Parish – Agodo.
The harvest thanksgiving service which had in attendance many dignitaries.
Speaking, Chief Aboyade who was the Special Guest, described harvest thanksgiving as a very significant sacrament in the Christendom, adding that the Holy Bible in Deuteronomy 8:11-18, also back it up where it’s written that; ‘Take care that you do not forget the Lord your God, by failing to keep his commandments, his ordinances and his statutes. When you have eaten your fill and have built fine houses and live in them and when your herds and flocks have multiplied and all that you have multiplied, then do not exalt yourself forgetting the Lord your God… Do not say to yourself, ‘My power and might of my own hand have gotten me this wealth’’. But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth’.
Aboyade, however, felicitates with the church saying; “as we reflect on the words of the psalmist and our daily experiences of God’s mercies and goodness, it is pertinent for us to come before the Lord with praises and gifts, for He is our Maker and we are graciously the sheep of His pasture.”
He wishes everyone a refreshing celebration of God’s goodness, mercy and beautiful care, and also on the same vein, commend them for the grateful heart demonstrated with the quality of what they all bring to Him at this Harvest Season.
