Hon.Temitope Adewale Adedeji (ATA), member of Lagos State House of Assembly, Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01 and the House Committee Chairman on Transportation, Wednesday, gave 500 school materials to students of Junior Secondary Schools in Ifako-Ijaiye.
The one-day event themed: “Education: A Tool For Viable Development” was held at Fagba Grammar School, Iju, Lagos.
Hon. Adewale gave out the school materials as a follow-up to the free 100 GCE forms given to deserving students through this Educational initiative, ATA- EI.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Adewale said: “It is my joy to see people gathered here today for the sake of education. I want to use this opportunity to restate my commitment to the growth of education within LG. By saying this, I am also talking about the Chairman, Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat and the 7 ward councillors of our great LG.

We have given 250 Free GCE forms out; 711 Students benefitted from the free GCE tutorials; 1200 students benefitted from the free JAMB UTME forms and 107 students secured admission through the ATA-EI. This is just a little out of what we have done”.*_
500 students from six schools within the LG were presented with schools bags, mathematical sets, pens, socks, exercise books while two schools were given 150 free chairs and desks.

Already Commenced Against Social Vices, Campaign Such as Cultism, Rape, Illicit Drug Abuse, Thuggery, Prostitution etc.
Due to the Above, IFAKO IJAIYE Constituency 01, Literacy levels have increased by 6%. At this pace by the year 2035, the Constituency will be the most Educated in Nigeria.
The Chairman, House Committee on Education, Hon. Sanni Okanlawon thanked Hon. Adewale whom he tagged ” *Fantabulous Temitope”* is a value adder and proactive Honourable member with an unassuming personality. He encouraged the student to face their student and repay the gesture by being the best in their studies.
Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adefisayo present at the event commended Hon Adewale for his passion and drive towards the growth of education within his constituency.
She said ” Hon. Adewale Temitope, from the first time I met him immediately after my nomination as Commissioner has shown that he is a man with foresight. I am not surprised at what he has done and will keep doing for the development of education in Ifako-Ijaiye.”
Also, Hon. Ayo Joseph, a former two-term chairman and House of Reps Member who is recently appointed by Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu as the GM LSDPC praised Hon. Adewale as being a worthy and responsible legislator with a Midas touch. He advised the student to pay attention to their education which he said is the vehicle towards achieving greatness in life.
In addition, the highly spirited TP/ PS District 1, Barr Titilayo Solarin expressed her gratefulness for the kind gesture of Hon. Temitope while assuring him that, the student and the benefitting schools shall reflect his goodwill in their educational performance.
The performing and innovative chairman of Ifako Ijaiye local government expressed sincere appreciation to Hon. Adewale for his genuine love for the people, passion for education, dedication and partnership for the greatness of Ifako Ijaiye.
