A former Minister of State for Defence & leading Senatorial Aspirant, Lagos West, Senator Musiliu Olatunde Obanikoro, has appointed Mr. Abayomi Mukaila Tijani as the Director-General of his campaign organization.
Mr. Tijani, a legal practitioner, politician and businessman hails from Ojodu in Ikeja Local Government, Lagos State. He is a holder of Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Lagos as well a Bachelor of Law Degree from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye. Tijani is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria (CIPAN), Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and Member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
The erstwhile secretary to the Ojodu Local Council Development Area has been a Deputy Director, Legal Directorate for the Independent Campaign Group (ICG), Returning Officer and Agent for Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Primaries, Special Adviser, Office of the Deputy State Chairman of the APC in Lagos State, Chairman, The League of Secretaries to the Local Governments in Lagos State; and Assistant Secretary, Lagos West Senatorial District of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) to mention but a few.
As a grassroots politician and community leader, Abayomi Tijani served as Vice Chairman and Chairman, Ojodu-Berger Community Development Association (CDA), Secretary, Community Development Committee (CDC) Ojodu-Berger LCDA, State Secretary, Lagos State Community Development Advisory Council (LSCDAC), Ministry of Rural Development, among others.
Similarly, Senator Musiliu Olatunde Obanikoro has approved the appointment of Alhaji Muhammed Mufutau Lawal (MM Lawal) as the Director of Programmes and Organization of the Koro Campaign Organization (KCO).
Muhammed Mufutau Lawal (MM Lawal), an indigene of Mushin who lives and plays politics in Igando-Ikotun in Alimosho Local Government, is a holder of Bachelor of Science in Political Science, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Manpower/Development Planning and a Master of Science in Political Science at the University of Lagos.
The Ebute-Meta born politician was a coordinator at the Jesse Jackson Rainbow Coalitions in Chicago as well as Member of the Transition Committee, Ojo, Lagos State. The erstwhile Senior Teacher started politics with the UPN (Unity Party of Nigeria) where he was the Party’s Students/Youth Coordinator of the University of Lagos . His party membership also included those of People’s Solidarity Party (PSP), Grassroots Development Movement (GDM), Alliance for Democracy (AD), Action Congress of Nigeria (CAN), the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and has been in the fold of the All Progressives Congress (APC) since 2014.
