•Sarki overall of Alimosho lauds academic erudite’s landmark sacrifices for humanity.

The assembly of Serikis under the auspices of the chieftaincy council of Arewa community, Alimosho local government, Lagos state, on Monday, 15th August, 2022, conferred, the chairman, governing councils of Maryam Abacha American Universities in the republic of Niger and Nigeria and president association of private universities in Africa, Professor Abubakar Adamu Gwarzo, with the exalted chieftaincy title of SARKIN BOKO – (ACADEMIC ERUDITE).
The pronouncement of the title was conveyed in a letter read by the secretary general of the council to dignitaries and esteemed leaders and stakeholders from across Nigeria, who graced the colorful event, held at the prestigious work in progress, palace of the Sarki overall of Alimosho and chairman of the chieftaincy council of Arewa community, Alimosho, Lagos state, HRH Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Kuraja.
As partly contained in the letter of appointment read by the scribe of the entire council, Ibrahim A. Jagaba, the resolution to confer, professor Gwarzo, with the unique traditional title, was arrived at unanimously, at a routine meeting of the council, held on the 13th of August, 2022 and it was a reward and in recognition and appreciation of the professor’s unrivalled contribution and sacrifices for educational growth and development across the African continent, it was said.
Member Serikis from across the local government, Alimosho, which incidentally, is the largest, in Lagos state, applauded the new titled chief’s, massive exploits in scholarships extended to myriads of citizenry, with the Sarkin Hausawa of Ikola land, Mallam Sa’idu Sule, confirming that, his biological son, is a current beneficiary of the professor’s humanitarian university lifeline outside the shores of Nigeria.
Members of the chieftaincy council’s inter-ethnic advisory committee, including the Ndigbo and Oduduwa representatives, commended and prayed for the professor to be able to do more in his noble projects; they equally hailed Sarki overall’s developmental leadership quality, averring that, the royal father has succeeded in reinforcing inter ethnic peace and harmony, side by side with growth and development in his immediate community and the entire Alimosho local government by extension, adding that, the assembly of Serikis, did well to have chosen him as their chairman and overall Sarki of the largest local government council in the state
Expressing awe and unreserved appreciation for the reward after officially receiving his letter of appointment from HRH Sarki overall, professor Gwarzo, described the royal father as a shrewd leader, maintaining that, his ability to galvanize inter ethnic synergy was uncommon; no wonder, unity is readily seen to have been reinforced here as clearly demonstrated in the array of representations in attendance and the flawless welcome, the new chief has said.
Professor Gwarzo , in concluding, urged the Arewa community to increase bite, in the acquisition of combined, quality educationa, as that was the sure recipe to greater achievements in life, he asserted.
In his closing remark, chief host of the day, HRH Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Kuraja, Sarki overall of Alimosho, extolled the positive impacts of the SARKIN BOKO, in the making of quality, advanced education, accessible to numerous less privileged citizens of Nigeria, adding that, alot more successes will greet the new traditional chief, because in the words of the royal father, professor Gwarzo was involved in a noble cause, that will inevitably continue to attract great accomplishments upon him.
The glamorous event was brought to a final end, with a closing prayer led by the chief imam of the council Mallam Sani Muhammad, where he prayed for Alimosho local government, the state of Lagos and Nigeria at large.
