At a time, Former President Olusegun Obasanjo unleashed political onslaught to win the whole country for the Peoples Democratic Party in 2003, South West was not left out, the ruling PDP cleared the southwestern states except Lagos state.
How did this happen? Other Governors fell for his trick, but your clairvoyant gift saved Lagos state from the political tsunami. Alliance for Democracy had one state left, and that was Lagos.
As a one-man army, it was not easy, but your resilience and doggedness kept you going. You never allowed Lagos state to fall into the hands of the opposition.
The only Lagos of then, won other states into the Progressives fold and Edo state inclusively.
In Nigeria, that Lagos had later won the Progressives ‘Number 1’ seat in 2015 and 2019 respectively.
This year, 2023, you are the President-Elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The journey started from a step, the ridiculed Lagos.
You are a true Nigeria’s devotee, as we can all attest to this in Lagos due to your laid-down template which successive Governors are following. Sir, we believe Nigeria is now in safer hands. Your track records speak volumes.
Nigeria is in indeed on the verge of greatness amongst the comity of nations.
