Leaving Lagos after concluding an official endeavour, emir of Gombe, HRH Dr. Abubakar Shehu Abubakar (CFR)|||, on Thursday, May 23, 2024, made a short detour to the palace of the chairman of the Chieftaincy Council of Arewa Community and Sarki Overall of Alimosho Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Kuraja, in what appears to be an extension of royal blessings upon the Arewa Community Chieftaincy Council in the largest Local Council in Lagos State.
Despite a tight itinerary, HRH Abubakar Shehu Abubakar, who became the 11th emir of Gombe after succeeding his late father HRH Shehu Abubakar in June 2014, visited and met with body of Serikis and other Arewa Community stakeholders including the leadership of Lagos State Butchers Association, Executive Committee Members of Livestock Traders from Abattoir Agege and Alimosho local governments among others.
On hand to receive the flamboyant royal signature, were member Serikis of the Chieftaincy Council including those of Ikola, Egbe-Agodo, Iyana-ipaja, Isheri-Olofin, Baruwa, Ipaja, Aboru-Oki, led by their chairman and Sarki Overall of Alimosho, Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Kuraja.
Rendering his address after a special prayer administered in his name by Ustaz Zaidu Sa’ad Sulaiman, lead missioner of the JIBWIS Movement in Alimosho Local Government, the royal symbol expressed appreciation for the warm welcome and concluded his remark with a glowing prayer for the host, assuring that, he will revisit the Alimosho Overall palace at a later date God willing.
Chairman of the council and Sarki Overall in his remark after the historic royal visit, expressed profound appreciation for the lifetime honour; he described the experience as a massive traditional fellowship of uncommon standing.
