CSP Akerele Adetayo led Lagos State Taskforce, was yesterday, part of a joint all night raid operation by the Lagos State Police Command, as commissioner of Police, CP Fayoade Adegoke Mustapha, intensifies crime bursting efforts across the state.
The operation, was targeted at areas facing recurring security threats across the length and breadth of area J, Elemoro, along the lekky-ajah-expressway, leading to the arrest of 126 suspects, who will all have their day in court as directed by the Lagos State Police Numero Uno.
Recall that, on the directive of CP Fayoade Adegoke, Lagos State Taskforce, led by the chairman, CSP Akerele, had similarly carried out a dusk operation on the night of Saturday July 27, 2024, across flashpoints in the Alimosho, Agege and Ikeja metropolis, during which, 124 arrests were made, in addition to the recovery of a large cache of various illicit drugs and outlawed substances, re-echoing unmistaken resolve of the police to cut down criminality in Lagos
