The Honorable Commissioner Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, Hon Akinyemi Ajigbotafe hosted the 2024 Stakeholders Forum at NECA House, Hakeem Balogun Street, CBD Alausa Ikeja Lagos.
Themed: ”Enhancing Service Delivery to Empower Lagos”
The Honorable Commissioner introduced to the Stakeholders ‘EMPOWER LAGOS ’ Initiative designed by Mr. Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s administration to tackle the pressing issues of unemployment, underemployment and economic inequality.
In his address, he established that partnership is critical for success, hence solving unemployment problems requires collective action and innovative solutions.
Hon. Akinyemi Ajigbotafe stated that, an efficient and effective intervention enhances qualitative service delivery to empower Lagos residents, particularly the youth,as it gives room to leverage resources, expertise, and knowledge to maximize the impact of service delivery efforts.
The Honorable Commissioner expressed the need for all stakeholders coming together towards integrating technology in enhancing service delivery as a way of leveraging on rapid technological advancement.
Hon. Akinyemi Ajigbotafe reiterated that collaborations between the government, private sector, civil society and community organizations can create synergy that will propel Lagos State forward.
He asserted that qualitative service delivery is not just a government obligation, but a shared responsibility that requires collective will and dedication of all Stakeholders.
The Honorable Commissioner urged businesses and institutions to embrace determination as they join the transformative journey of offering qualitative service delivery and commitment to the vision of a Lagos that empowers its citizens through sustainable development initiatives.
