Tragedy has struck two Nigerian states, leaving a trail of devastation and loss. In a heartfelt message, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, reaches out to the Governors and people of Sokoto and Bauchi States, offering comfort and support in the face of unimaginable sorrow.

II extend my deepest condolences to the Governor of Sokoto State, His Excellency Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto and the Bauchi State Governor, His Excellency Senator Bala Mohammed, CON on the recent occurrences in their States.
The boat mishap which claimed lives in Sokoto and the flooding incident which happened in Bauchi State where lives were also lost and property destroyed are very unfortunate.
My thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost loved ones and properties, as well as those who have been displaced.
May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace and May God comfort the affected families and grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
