Council of Arewa Traditional Rulers and Chiefs under the leadership of HRH Mallam Haruna Mai Yasin katsina, the Sarkin Sasa and Sardaunan Yamma, on Sunday, 27th October, 2024 Suspended the Sarkin Hausawa of Ibadan Land, Mallam Aliyu Zungeru, for gross misconduct, Insubordination and conducts unbecoming and unacceptable to the Traditional Institution.
As gathered by this medium, from the spokesperson of the council who doubles as the Sarkin Hausawa of amuwo odofin, Lagos State, the suspended chief was accused of conspiracy to incite violence among the Arewa Community that have lived peacefully in the Southern States of Nigeria for decades.
His actions as contained in the press statement that made his suspension public, were against the ethics of Arewa Royal Traditions, Customs and Values .
